In 2016, after going off the pill, Carla developed a severe form of hormonal acne. She then dealt intensively with the topics of skin, care and make-up. She wanted to understand her skin 's needs and the formation of breakouts in order to improve her complexion in the long term. Carla quickly noticed how many questionable ingredients most make-up products contain. She also noted that there are hardly any natural cosmetic brands that only produce nourishing make-up.
The idea of PURE U. was born. Carla immediately started developing her own make-up, tailored to her sensitive skin and exclusively with nourishing ingredients.
At first, she only produced for herself, then for her friends. In 2019, Leo joined the young founder. Together they started to further develop and perfect their products in their own laboratory.
PURE U. balms pay attention to the environment. Therefore, the focus is on the environmentally friendly and resource-saving production of our vegan and animal-free products. The packaging of our products is made of grass paper and the plastic content of our sticks has already been reduced by 80%. By using separable components, you can dispose of the individual parts of the sticks separately.
